Liverpool FC star raves about Chelsea FC’s Callum Hudson-Odoi
Andy Robertson is predicting a bright future for Chelsea FC starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi
Andy Robertson is predicting a bright future for Chelsea FC starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The youngster has been earning lots of praise for his performances in recent weeks after becoming a more regular fixture in the Chelsea FC starting line-up under Maurizio Sarri.
Hudson-Odoi was linked with a transfer to Bayern Munich in the January window but he ended up staying at Stamford Bridge and has been a regular fixture in the first team in recent weeks.
The 18-year-old made his full England debut last month and he has also notched up the first three Premier League starts of his career in recent games.
Hudson-Odoi started Chelsea FC’s 2-0 loss to Liverpool FC last weekend and featured for 56 minutes.
And Liverpool FC defender Robertson feels that there are plenty of good things in store for Hudson-Odoi in the coming years.
Speaking in an interview with Evening Standard reporter Simon Johnson as quoted by Metro, Robertson said: “I knew about him before, a lot has been said about him. He has been linked with Bayern Munich and made his England debut.
“I’m sure he has a fantastic career ahead of him, he is only young. It is better not to put too much pressure on him because he can be a great player.
“I managed to keep him quite quiet which is a positive for me because I know good and creative he can be.
“I was just happy to see the back of him when he was taken off. But I’m sure he will go on to big things.”
Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action on Monday night when they host Burnley at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are aiming to finish in the top four this season but they currently find themselves fifth in the table and outside the Champions League qualification spots.
