The 18-year-old has been a more regular fixture in the Chelsea FC team in recent weeks after initially struggling to win over Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
Sarri handed Hudson-Odoi the first Premier League start of his career earlier this month during the 3-0 win over Brighton at Stamford Bridge.
The teenager was heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich in the January transfer window but Chelsea FC kept hold of the England international.
Now, Sarri has talked up the importance of both Hudson-Odoi and fellow youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek as Chelsea FC head towards a crucial part of the season.
Speaking at a news conference at Cobham before Monday night’s clash with West Ham, Sarri said: “At the beginning of the season, Hudson-Odoi had a very great potential but wasn’t ready to play in the Premier League.
“Loftus-Cheek was the same, Loftus-Cheek had only to adapt to my football, to improve tactically for my football. Then he had a lot of problems with his back and so we had to wait for him.
“But now they are fresh, they are ready. They are improving so in this moment of the season they are fresh.
“I think that in this moment they are really very important for us.”
Chelsea FC are next in action on Thursday night when they take on Slavia Prague in the Europa League quarter-finals.
The west London side are aiming to try and finish in the top four this season after having ended up fifth and winning the FA Cup under Antonio Conte last term.
