Chelsea FC want more than £100m for Eden Hazard – report
Chelsea FC are holding out for a big transfer fee of £100m for Eden Hazard this summer, say reports
Chelsea FC are “holding out” for a transfer fee of more than £100m for Eden Hazard this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Independent is reporting that the Blues are aiming to bring in a significant fee for the Belgian international, who is being strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer.
The same story says that both Chelsea FC and Real Madrid are expecting a transfer to go through this summer and for Hazard to move to Real Madrid.
Hazard’s current contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire in the summer of 2020 and he has “no intention” of signing a new deal at the club, says the same story.
That has forced Chelsea FC’s hand, who will now consider selling their talismanic playmaker this summer, according to the same report.
However, despite recent reports in Spain, the same article says that there is still a lot of negotiating to do before a transfer can take place this summer.
Hazard is widely regarded as one of European football’s top attacking talents, and he has scored 14 goals and made 12 assists in 31 Premier League games this season.
Chelsea FC host West Ham United at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Monday night.
