Eden Hazard has no intention of signing a new contract at Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Belgium international will not think about putting pen to paper on a new contract, with his current deal set to expire at the end of next season.

The same report says that the 28-year-old has made his decision and will not budge, even if Chelsea FC start to play hardball with Real Madrid over his proposed transfer to the Bernabeu this summer.

Hazard’s decision, the story says, is “likely” to force Chelsea FC into having to sell the talented playmaker this summer after months of speculation about his future.

The same article says that Real Madrid are “confident” of being able to sign Hazard this summer, although they are understood to be “reluctant” to meet Chelsea FC’s asking price of around £100m.

Chelsea FC know that they could risk losing Hazard for nothing next summer if they force him to stay and he doesn’t sign a new contract.

Hazard was the star of the show once again on Monday night when he scored both of Chelsea FC’s goals in their 2-0 win over West Ham United in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.
