Chelsea FC linked with double swoop for Bundesliga forwards – report
Chelsea FC are being linked with moves to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski and Borussia Dortmund forward Alexander Isak, say reports
Chelsea FC are being linked with moves to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski and Borussia Dortmund forward Alexander Isak this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the west London club are aiming to bring in attacking reinforcements this summer and they could move for the two forwards.
According to the same report, Chelsea FC have made contact with Lewandowski’s advisors ahead of a potential move to bring the 30-year-old striker to the Premier League.
The same article, though, says that despite Lewandowski’s age, he would likely command a transfer fee of around £70m should he leave Dortmund this summer.
It is also claimed that Liverpool FC may be interested in signing Lewandowski – but it is only Chelsea FC who have shown interest so far.
Lewandowski has scored 21 goals and made seven assists in 27 Bundesliga games so far this season.
The Blues are also being linked with a potential move for 19-year-old Swedish striker Isak, who is currently on loan at Dutch club Willem II from Borussia Dortmund.
According to the same story, Chelsea FC are “desperate” to land a proven striker in the summer transfer window, despite their Fifa ban.
Chelsea FC will hope to get their transfer ban frozen this summer by launching an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to allow them to make signings before next season.
