Chelsea FC face ‘battle’ to keep hold of attacking midfielder – report
Chelsea FC are facing a transfer battle to keep hold of Pedro Rodriguez this summer, say reports
Chelsea FC are facing a transfer battle to keep hold of Pedro Rodriguez this summer as both Inter Milan and AC Milan are interested in signing him, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express is reporting that both of the Serie A sides are keen on moves to bring the Spain international to Italy this summer as they look to bolster their squads.
The same report says that the interest is unwelcome, given that Chelsea FC are already likely to content with Real Madrid’s desire to sign Eden Hazard this summer.
Both Pedro, 31, and Hazard, 28, will have one year left on their contracts at the end of this season.
Chelsea FC are facing a two-window transfer ban from Fifa, and their appeal will be decided on 11 April, according to the same story.
The same article, though, says that Chelsea FC intend to take their case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport if their appeal fails, in an attempt to get the ban “frozen”.
Former FC Barcelona winger Pedro has scored eight goals and made one assist in 26 Premier League outings this season, although he has only started 19 of those games.
Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action on Monday night when they host bitter local rivals West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.
