Liverpool FC are weighing up a potential move to sign Ajax winger David Neres in the summer transfer window, according to a report in France.
French media outlet Le10 Sport, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that Liverpool FC are keeping tabs on the impressive 22-year-old.
The same article states that the Reds are yet to make their interest concrete despite interest from their bitter rivals Everton.
According to the same story, Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain and Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are also monitoring Neres.
The report goes on to suggest that Eredivisie leaders Ajax value Neres at around £40m ahead of the summer transfer window following his impressive 2018-19 campaign.
Neres has scored eight goals and has made eight assists in 26 appearances in the Dutch top flight this term, while the Brazilian winger has also netted two twice and created two goals in nine Champions League games.
The Brazilian talent moved to Ajax from Sao Paulo in a €12m deal in January 2017 following just 11 appearances for the Brazilian club.
Neres has forced his way into the Ajax team over the past two seasons thanks to a respectable return of 22 goals in 57 league games.
Liverpool FC could do with some more depth in their squad to help the Reds challenge on multiple fronts next term.
