Michael Owen backs 24-year-old to score in Man City v Tottenham

Michael Owen is backing Raheem Sterling to fire Manchester City to victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday night.
The Citizens will be hoping that they can do enough to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week.
Spurs took one step towards their first-ever Champions League semi-final thanks to Son Heung-min’s second-half winner in north London.
Tottenham will travel to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night looking to defend their narrow advantage over Pep Guardiola’s side.
However, Manchester City will start as favourites given that the Citizens have the best home record in the Premier League this season.
The Eastlands outfit have won 16 of their 17 games, with the only blemish on their record a 3-2 loss to Crystal Palace at The Etihad.
Sterling has scored 17 times and has made nine assists in 33 games in the Premier League this season, while the England international has netted three goals in nine Champions League outings.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing Sterling to fire Manchester City to victory over their top-four rivals Tottenham in the Champions League quarter-final.
“City returned to the top of the Premier League table – however briefly – with an excellent performance at Selhurst Park on Sunday when Raheem Sterling again showed what a vital cog he is to the City machine,” Owen told BetVictor.
“Spurs were able to rest a number of key players against Huddersfield at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the weekend and this is a difficult game to call as a result of Sergio Aguero’s early penalty miss in the first leg.
“I expect to see opportunities at both ends. This is the start of a massive week for City who entertain Spurs back at the Etihad at the weekend in the Premier League before the Manchester Derby at Old Trafford next midweek.
“City to win with Sterling again to the fore.”
Manchester City will host third-placed Tottenham in their next Premier League game at The Etihad on Saturday afternoon.
The Citizens are two points behind leaders Liverpool FC.
