Lionel Messi produced a masterclass at Camp Nou as he helped to inspire the Red Devils to a 3-0 win over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men by scoring two goals, before Philippe Coutinho added a third.
Sanchez was a late substitute in the game but could not help Manchester United to find a goal against the La Liga giants.
Messi is arguably in the form of his life as he bids to try and help FC Barcelona win the Champions League and La Liga this season.
And Sanchez was philosophical when he was asked for his reaction to Tuesday night’s defeat.
Sanchez is quoted as saying by Metro: “They played very well. We had very clear chances, but this is football, this is the Champions League.
“If you get something wrong or fail, then the other team gets on top of you. That’s what Barcelona do.
“The truth is that the first goal was a very nice goal. Leo is Leo, we all know what we can do.
“It’s the same as always. Leo, he is very happy at Barca. He maintains this high level of performance and the team is also playing well.”
Sanchez will be hoping to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils return to Premier League action on Easter Sunday with a trip to Everton.
The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League table as they look to try and break back into the Champions League qualification spots before the season is out.
Manchester United are currently two points behind fourth-placed Arsenal with five games left to play.
