Man United interested in signing Belgium international – report
Man United are interested in signing Youri Tielemans this summer, according to reports
Manchester United are the latest club to show an interest in signing Youri Tielemans this summer, according to reports in Belgium.
Belgian outlet HLN, as quoted by the Leicester Mercury, is reporting that the Red Devils are keeping a close eye on Tielemans and that he is on a “long list” of transfer targets.
However, the same story says that the central midfielder is not currently a priority for Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
Tielemans has been in good form for Leicester since having joined the Foxes from Monaco on loan in January, and the same story says that Tottenham were recently linked with a move for him.
The 21-year-old has been in solid form so far this season, scoring one goal and making three assists in seven games in the Premier League since his move at the turn of the year.
According to the same report, Leicester are keen to make his deal permanent, but that could be tricky given that he could cost around £40m.
Manchester United’s next game is their crunch home clash against FC Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie on Wednesday night next week.
