The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are interested in a potential deal to sign the Denmark international at the end of the Premier League season.
The same article states that the 20-time English champions are prepared to triple Eriksen’s weekly wage to £240,000 in order to land the Danish playmaker.
According to the same story, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward that he’d like to bring the Tottenham playmaker to Old Trafford.
The Daily Mirror add that Eriksen could prefer a move to Real Madrid given his “lifelong” support of the club, but suggest los Blancos are focused on signing Eden Hazard rather than the Tottenham playmaker.
Manchester United could have to pay nearly £100m to sign the former Ajax midfielder from tough negotiators Tottenham, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Red Devils are in fifth place in the Premier League table and three points adrift of Tottenham, who occupy third position with five games to go.
Manchester United lost 1-0 to FC Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final, while Spurs were 1-0 winners against Manchester City in north London.
