Manchester United are preparing for a big summer clear-out, with as many as six players on their way out of Old Trafford, according to reports in the British media.

Sky Sports News is reporting that the Red Devils are preparing for a major overhaul of their squad this summer and could be ready to let a number of first-team players leave.

The same article says that Ander Herrera has agreed terms to join Paris Saint-Germain, while Juan Mata is in talks about a potential move to FC Barcelona.

Alexis Sanchez could also be on his way out after his patchy form since his move from Arsenal last January, according to the same story.

It is also claimed in the same report that Antonio Valencia, Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian could all be deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford this summer by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Manchester United are bound to be linked with a number of players in the forthcoming summer transfer window as Solskjaer looks to ready his team for next season.

More pressing though, will be Manchester United turning their form around to seal a top-four finish in the Premier League.

The Red Devils currently find themselves in sixth place in the table after their disappointing 2-1 loss to Wolves in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
