The France international has been linked with a move to the Spanish giants in recent weeks following a fresh wave of speculation surrounding his future at Old Trafford.
Zinedine Zidane’s return as Real Madrid manager has only served to intensify talk that Pogba could be lured to the Spanish capital in the summer transfer window.
Pogba, 26, has endured a noticeable dip in form in recent weeks after the World Cup winner initially raised his performance level following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment as manager.
The France star has instead been flirting with the idea of a move to Real Madrid in the media to create doubt around his long-term commitment to the 20-time English champions.
Brazil international Casemiro believes Pogba would be a welcome addition to Zidane’s squad if a move should materialise in the summer transfer window.
“A player of his level is compatible with any player in the world. We know he is a great player, but we cannot talk about a player who is not here with the team,” Casemiro is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
“We know that if he comes to Madrid he will be very welcome because we know he is a great player.
“He has another very important match in the Champions [League] and he is thinking about that game. He is a great person and we have to respect him and respect Manchester [United].”
Pogba has scored 11 goals and has made nine assists in 29 games in the Premier League this season.
The French midfielder moved to Manchester United in an £89m deal from Juventus in the 2016 summer transfer window.
Pogba has won the Europa League and the League Cup since his return to Manchester United two seasons ago.
