Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has informed Paul Pogba that he will not be allowed to leave Manchester United this summer, according to a report in England.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Manchester United manager is not prepared to sell the club-record signing in the upcoming transfer window.

The same article states Pogba is interested in the opportunity to work with French hero Zinedine Zidane at La Liga giants Real Madrid.

According to the same story, Solskjaer has quashed any suggestion Pogba could move to the La Liga side and has informed the Frenchman of his decision.

The Daily Mirror report adds that the Norwegian head coach informed Pogba of his decision during a meeting in his office after a training session last week.

Pogba was criticised for his poor performance in Manchester United’s 2-1 loss to Wolves at Molineux last week.

The World Cup winner has performed well under the new Manchester United boss since Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford back in December.

Manchester United could find it hard to keep Pogba should the Red Devils fail to finish in the top four for the second time in three seasons.

The France midfielder returned to Old Trafford in an £89m deal from Juventus in 2016.
