Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could lose seven Man United players this summer – report
Man United could lose up to seven players in the summer transfer window, according to a report
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is facing a battle to keep some of his biggest starts at Manchester United beyond the summer, according to a report in England.
The Sunday Times, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Red Devils could lose up to seven players in the upcoming transfer window.
The same article states that David De Gea and Paul Pogba are both interested in a potential switch to La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Zinedine Zidane’s return as Real Madrid boss has prompted a fresh wave of speculation surrounding some of his long-term targets.
According to the same story, Belgium international Romelu Lukaku is also considering a summer move following a stop-start Manchester United career so far.
The report goes on to add that Spanish duo Ander Herrera and Juan Mata are expected to leave Manchester United on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Alexis Sanchez and Eric Bailly have both struggled with form throughout the current campaign and the pair could also seek a move away from Old Trafford to salvage their careers, according to the same story.
Manchester United would be loathe to lose De Gea and Pogba given their status as key players within the current squad.
However, Herrera and Mata could be viewed as dispensable players given that they’re entering the latter stages of their careers.
