Real Madrid ‘more confident’ of signing Eden Hazard from Chelsea FC – report
Real Madrid are becoming more confident of landing Eden Hazard from Chelsea FC this summer, say reports
Real Madrid are growing increasingly confident that they will be able to wrap up a deal to bring Eden Hazard to the Bernabeu from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in the British media.
Sky Sports is reporting that the Spanish club are keen to bring the 28-year-old playmaker to Real Madrid this summer as they look to strengthen their squad.
According to the same story, Chelsea FC are holding out for a transfer fee of around £100m – despite Hazard’s current contract being set to expire in the summer of 2020.
The same article says that the situation has been made more complicated by Chelsea FC’s transfer ban, with their appeal set to be heard on Thursday.
Real Madrid have long been linked with a move to sign Hazard, and it seems that the Spanish giants are stepping up their interest this summer.
Hazard is widely regarded as one of European football’s top attacking talents and he won the PFA player of the year award in 2015 after helping the Blues win the Premier League and League Cup under Jose Mourinho in the 2014-15 campaign.
The west London side will return to Europa League action on Thursday night when they take on Slavia Prague in the quarter-final first-leg.
