Sky Sports pundit gives his prediction for Slavia Prague v Chelsea FC
Charlie Nicholas looks ahead to Chelsea FC's clash with Slavia Prague in the Europa League
Charlie Nicholas is tipping Chelsea FC to claim a 3-1 win over Slavia Prague in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The Blues are preparing to travel to the Czech Republic for the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie away from home.
Chelsea FC moved back into the top four on Monday night thanks to their 2-0 win over West Ham United, with Eden Hazard having scored both of the Blues’ goals.
They will now turn their attentions to European affairs and their trip to Prague for the first leg of their quarter-final clash.
And former Arsenal star Nicholas is backing the Blues to claim a comfortable 3-1 win away from home to bring a significant advantage back to Stamford Bridge for the return leg next week.
Writing in his column for Sky Sports, Nicholas said: “I think the manager is going after this and Maurizio Sarri may want to win something, especially if he goes at the end of the season.
“I would play Eden Hazard and Olivier Giroud. I would also play Callum Hudson-Odoi and those would be the three up front and I would tell them to go after it – I expect that to happen.
“They are still not the best at the back but I expect them to win comfortably.”
Chelsea FC are currently third in the Premier League table and they will return to top-flight action on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Anfield to take on table-toppers Liverpool FC.
The Blues are aiming to break back into the top four this season after they finished in fifth place and won the FA Cup last season under Antonio Conte.
