Arsenal are interested in a deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain full-back Thomas Meunier this summer, according to reports in the French media.
France Football, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Gunners could make a move to try and sign Meunier this summer as they look to strengthen their squad.
Stephan Lichtsteiner is set to leave Arsenal this summer, and according to the same story, Unai Emery is keen to find a replacement who can provide back-up for Hector Bellerin at right-back.
According to the same article, Emery was impressed by Meunier during his time in charge of PSG – and the Gunners boss has now added the 27-year-old to his list of transfer targets.
However, it is claimed in the same story that Manchester United remain as long-term admirers of Meunier, meaning that the two Premier League clubs could go head to head for his signature this summer.
It is claimed in the same article that PSG would be seeking a transfer fee of around €30m (£26.5m) to sell Meunier this summer.
Meunier was limited to just 19 starts in Ligue 1 this season, and he scored three goals and made three assists in the French top flight.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are currently preparing for their Europa League final showdown against Chelsea FC in Baku on Wednesday night.
