The Sun is reporting that Arsenal are interested in a potential deal to sign the Newcastle forward to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.
The same article states that the Gunners can expect to pay their Premier League rivals Newcastle around £25m for the 25-year-old in the summer transfer window.
According to the same story, Europa League finalists Arsenal will face stiff competition to sign Perez from Serie A as Inter Milan and Napoli are also both monitoring the Spaniard.
The Sun report goes on to add that Arsenal boss Unai Emery is hoping to sign Perez from their Premier League rivals in a cut-price deal this summer given his limited transfer budget.
Perez has netted 11 times and has made three assists in 36 games in the Premier League this season to help Newcastle remain in the Premier League under Rafael Benitez.
The Newcastle forward has scored 47 goals in 192 games in all competitions over the past five seasons at St James’ Park, helping the Magpies to secure promotion to the Premier League in 2017.
Perez started his professional career at Tenerife before his move to Newcastle in 2014.
