Arsenal eye swoop for 26-year-old Premier League star – report
Arsenal have made Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha their top summer target, according to a report
Arsenal will make Wilfried Zaha their top transfer target as Unai Emery looks to buy British talent this summer, according to a report in England.
The Sun is reporting that the Arsenal manager wants to sign Zaha from their London rivals Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.
Although Zaha is an Ivory Coast international, the report claims that Arsenal consider the Palace winger a homegrown talent given that the winger came through the south east London club’s academy.
According to the same story, Arsenal are also interested in Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser following the Scotland international’s impressive season on the south coast.
Fraser is the leading assist maker in the Premier League after the Scottish forward created 14 goals for his team-mates as well as finding the net himself on seven occasions.
Palace winger Zaha has continued to flourish at Selhurst Park following a return of 10 goals and three assists in 34 games in the Premier League.
Arsenal only fielded one British player in their 3-1 victory over La Liga side Valencia in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final on Thursday night.
The Gunners will face either Eintracht Frankfurt or Chelsea FC in the Europa League final if the Gunners managed to progress past Valencia after the second leg at The Mestalla on Thursday.
