Jamie Carragher took to social media to lavish praise on Eden Hazard after the Belgian helped to inspire Chelsea FC to a 4-1 win over Arsenal in the Europa League final.
After a goalless first half in Baku, Chelsea FC took the lead in the 49th minute when Olivier Giroud’s diving header beat Petr Cech.
Chelsea FC then when 2-0 up in the 60th minute when Pedro fired home from close range, and Eden Hazard netted a penalty shortly after to make it 3-0.
Arsenal pulled a goal back when substitute Alex Iwobi fired home a brilliant strike – but Hazard netted his second of the night in the 72nd minute to wrap up the victory for the Blues.
There has been plenty of speculation that this may have been Hazard’s final game in a Chelsea FC shirt as the Belgian continues to be linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer.
And Liverpool FC legend Carragher took to Twitter to salute Hazard after his brilliant performance for the Blues.
Carragher wrote on Twitter: “Love Eden Hazard! The best @premierleague player for now!! #UEFAEuropaLeagueFinal.”
Hazard has been an instrumental player for Chelsea FC this season, scoring 21 goals in all competitions for Maurizio Sarri’s side.
