The Sun is reporting that the west London side are keen to extend the midfielder’s stay at Stamford Bridge and they are ready to offer them a new deal.
Loftus-Cheek’s current deal is set to expire in 2021, but the article claims that Chelsea FC are planning talks with the midfielder to extend his contract.
The England international has been used sparingly by Maurizio Sarri this season, with Loftus-Cheek only having started five Premier League games this term.
However, he has been a regular fixture from the bench and has made 17 substitute appearances in the top flight this season, scoring five goals and making two assists.
Loftus-Cheek has been finding his form in recent games and he was particularly impressive in the Europa League semi-final clash against Eintracht Frankfurt last week.
According to the same article, Chelsea FC are keen to avoid a repeat of the Callum Hudson-Odoi situation, where an Academy product enters into the final year of his deal amid speculation about his future.
Meanwhile, Loftus-Cheek will be hoping to feature for Chelsea FC when the Blues host Watford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
