Former Liverpool FC captain Steven Gerrard sends a message to Jurgen Klopp's players after Tuesday night's 4-0 victory over FC Barcelona

Steven Gerrard hailed Liverpool FC’s “simply incredible” performance in Tuesday night’s 4-0 victory over FC Barcelona at Camp Nou.
The Merseyside outfit appeared to be heading out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage following a 3-0 loss to FC Barcelona in the first leg at Camp Nou last week.
However, Liverpool FC broke the deadlock in the seventh minute when Divock Origi netted to give the home side some momentum early on in front of their home supporters.
FC Barcelona managed to regroup and prevent Liverpool FC from adding to their second-leg lead before half-time when Georginio Wijnaldum replaced the injured Andy Robertson.
The Netherlands international scored a quick-fire double with his right foot and head to level the Champions League tie over two legs and leave the Reds requiring one more gaol to progress.
Remarkably, Origi, who was drafted into the side to replace Roberto Firmino up front, netted his second goal of the night after some quick thinking from Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Gerrard captained Liverpool FC to Champions League glory in 2005 when the Reds came from 3-0 down to beat AC Milan on penalties in the final in Istanbul.
And former Liverpool FC captain Gerrard lavished praise on Klopp’s players for an incredible performance to reach their second successive Champions League final.
Gerrard wrote on Instagram: “To a man the redmen were simply incredible. Wow 👏👏👏 @liverpoolfc ❤️ what a team 👌”
Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action on Sunday with a home clash against Wolves, before taking on either Ajax or Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final on 1 June.
