Gary Neville reacts to Liverpool FC’s 4-0 win over FC Barcelona to reach Champions League final
Man United legend Gary Neville was left feeling frustrated after Liverpool FC's sensational comeback against FC Barcelona on Tuesday night
Gary Neville was lost for words after Liverpool FC reached the Champions League final thanks to a 4-0 victory over FC Barcelona in the second leg of their semi-final on Tuesday night.
The Reds suffered a chastening 3-0 loss to FC Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final at Camp Nou last week to all but end their hopes of reaching the final.
Neville was quick to take to Twitter following Liverpool FC’s humiliation at Camp Nou as the Manchester United legend posted the “I don’t know” emoji in reference to FC Barcelona’s landslide win.
Fast forward to Tuesday night, and Liverpool FC striker Divock Origi broke the deadlock in the seventh minute before Georginio Wijnaldum netted twice in two minutes in the second half.
Belgium international Origi then scored his second of the night to put Liverpool FC ahead in the tie for the first time.
FC Barcelona didn’t have an answer as Liverpool FC progressed to consecutive Champions League finals.
And Neville took to Twitter to post the “face palm” emoji after an incredible turnaround at Anfield.
Neville posted on Twitter: “🤦🏻♂️”
The Manchester United defender went on to post instructions for his fellow Red Devils supporters to activate aeroplane mode on their phones following Liverpool FC’s incredible win.
Neville added: “Instructions attached 👋”
