Jurgen Klopp’s men have two days to dust themselves down before Liverpool FC make the trip to Newcastle United for their penultimate Premier League game of the season.
Liverpool FC can still win the Premier League title but require either Leicester City or Brighton take points off Manchester City in their remaining two games.
And Reds vice-captain Milner has now urged Liverpool FC to respond in style when the Reds take on Newcastle at St James’ Park on Saturday evening.
“We’ve obviously got to bounce back first for the weekend, pick ourselves up again after this disappointment,” Milner told Liverpool FC’s website.
“But I think we’ve all seen the heart in the dressing room before and the drive, the team spirit. We will be ready to go at the weekend.
“Hopefully we can get the result and get a bit of positive feeling going into the second leg.”
Liverpool FC are looking to win their first major trophy under Klopp following his appointment back in October 2015.
The Reds have never won the Premier League title but have finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.
Liverpool FC lost 3-1 to Real Madrid in the Champions League final last term.
