Liverpool FC were Manchester City’s closest Premier League title challengers this season and they were top of the table for large portions of the campaign.
However, the Reds ended up in second place after Manchester City successfully defended their title and ended up a point ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s men in the table.
Liverpool FC amassed 97 points and only lost one game in the Premier League this season, suggesting that they will be a force to be reckoned with in seasons to come.
And Liverpool FC defender Robertson, 25, feels that Manchester City will be worried about the Reds’ recent improvements.
Speaking in an interview quoted by BBC Sport, Robertson said: “We are a tight-knit group, a young group.
“Hopefully we will be here for many years and we will be a better team in terms of maturity and experience next year.
“Man City know, hopefully, we are here to stay. We know they are definitely here to stay, they are incredible.
“Fingers-crossed we don’t lose anyone. We will go into next season as strong as ever. Whether we can put in the performances remains to be seen but we hope we can.”
Liverpool FC are still aiming to finish the season with a trophy, as they prepare for their showdown with Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final on 1 June in Madrid.
The Merseyside outfit are aiming to go one step further than they did last season and lift the Champions League trophy, after having lost the final last year to Real Madrid.
