Liverpool FC are close to completing a deal to sign promising Polish goalkeeper Jakub Ojrzynski, according to a report in England.

The Liverpool Echo is reporting that the Reds are set to spend £200,000 on landing the highly-rated Polish shot-stopper in the summer transfer window.

The same article states that Liverpool FC are set to beat bitter Premier League rivals Manchester United as well as Serie A title holders Juventus to Ojrzynski’s signature.

According to the same story, the 16-year-old will join their Kirkby Academy, where he will link up with Liverpool FC’s Youth Cup-winning squad.

Liverpool FC had the best goalkeeper in the Premier League this season after Alisson Becker completed a £67m move to the Anfield outfit from Italian giants AS Roma last summer.

Alisson only conceded 22 goals in 38 games, which was the best defensive record in the Premier League despite Manchester City winning the Premier League title.

The Brazil international managed to keep 21 clean sheets as Liverpool FC finished a point behind reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.

Alisson can still end his first season at Liverpool FC on a high note if the Reds beat FC Barcelona in the Champions League final next month.

Belgium international Simon Mignolet is currently Alisson’s back-up at the Merseyside outfit.
