Lee Sharpe: Why Man United won’t sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea FC
Man United legend Lee Sharpe rules out the Red Devils signing Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea FC this summer

Lee Sharpe doesn’t believe that Manchester United will be willing to match Chelsea FC’s asking price for Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer.
The 18-year-old has been linked with a potential switch to the 20-time English champions as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to revamp their squad this summer.
Hudson-Odoi has impressed in his breakthrough season at the west London side despite Maurizio Sarri’s initial reluctance to start the teenager in the Premier League.
The England international has made one assist in four starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League this term.
However, Hudson-Odoi has impressed in the cup competitions with a return of five goals and two assists in 11 outings in the Europa League and the FA Cup.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich were reported to have made a number of big-money bids for the Chelsea FC starlet in the January transfer window.
Manchester United were also rumoured to be interested in Hudson-Odoi as well as Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
But club legend Sharpe has played down the chances of Manchester United spending a big fee on Hudson-Odoi in the summer.
“Callum Hudson-Odoi is another player who might be able to fulfil his potential at Manchester United, but I don’t see that move happening,” Sharpe told sporting bet.
“I’m not sure the club will have seen enough of him during his time at Chelsea to convince them he is worth paying the reported fees involved.
“There’s also the big question of Chelsea’s transfer ban so I doubt they’ll be in the mood to lose anybody.”
Manchester United are in sixth place in the Premier League table following their 1-1 draw with Chelsea FC at Old Trafford last weekend.
The Red Devils haven’t won the Premier League since 2013.
