Gary Neville backs Man United to sign Crystal Palace star
Gary Neville would like to see Man United sign Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Gary Neville has given his backing to Manchester United’s reported pursuit of Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.
The Red Devils are thought to be in the market for a number of new players this summer as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
Wan-Bissaka, 21, has been touted as a potential target for the Red Devils as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to shore up his defensive options following Manchester United’s sixth-placed finish in the Europa League.
It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will indeed complete a deal to sign Wan-Bissaka or not, but Neville seems to think that it would not be a bad bit of business – although he admits his price would probably be inflated.
Neville told the Evening Standard: “He’s a massive talent and the club, to be fair, have always signed young, emerging British talent.
“I don’t think that should change and it would seem to me that the club would like to go back down that route and he is one.
“The price is always going to be big because clubs are wise now to it, you can’t pinch players off clubs for £5m or £6m.
“They are wise to it and have the Premier League funding of £100-odd million so they don’t need to panic, they don’t need extra £5m or £10m – they want £50m or £60m.
“Leicester will be the same for (Ben) Chilwell and Maguire or (James) Maddison. All these mid-tier clubs won’t let players go for £5m, £6m, £8m, £10m now.”
Wan-Bissaka made three assists in 35 Premier League games for Crystal Palace this season.
Manchester United ended up missing out on a spot in next season’s Champions League after their poor run of form towards the end of the campaign left them down in sixth place in the Premier League table.
Nevertheless, the Red Devils are widely expected to strengthen their squad this summer as they look to turn things around under Solskjaer.
