Manchester United are waiting to learn whether Paul Pogba will remain at the club before they make an offer for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to a report in England.

Metro, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News, is reporting that the France international is looking to secure a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the current transfer window.

The same article states that Pogba is eager to work with Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane following a frustrating season at the 20-time English champions.

It is claimed in the same story that although his agent Mino Raiola is working on a potential transfer to The Bernabeu, it remains unclear whether Manchester United will be tempted into selling.

According to the same story, Pogba’s situation is holding up Manchester United’s bid for impressive Lyon star Ndombele.

The report goes on to state that Champions League finalists Tottenham Hotspur and Serie A winners Juventus are also interested in the midfielder.

Ndombele made seven assists in 33 appearances in Ligue 1 this season to have an impressive campaign for the French side.

Manchester United will be looking to bolster their squad this summer after the Red Devils finished in sixth place in the Premier League table.

The Red Devils lost 2-0 to Cardiff City on the final day of the season.
