Ole Gunnar Solskjaer threatened to sell half of the Manchester United squad after Sunday’s 2-0 loss to Cardiff City, according to a report in England.

The Sun is reporting that the Manchester United boss was livid with his players following their abject performance against the relegated side at Old Trafford.

The same article states that the Red Devils manager cancelled their end-of-season meeting at Old Trafford on Monday following their humiliating loss.

According to the same story, Solskjaer informed his Manchester United flops that he is prepared to make wholesale changes in the summer.

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table this season to miss out on a spot in the Champions League.

The 20-time English champions ended up a staggering 32 points adrift of title winners Manchester City to highlight the gap between the derby rivals.

Manchester United failed to get their hands on silverware for the second successive season after disappointments in the Champions League and the FA Cup.

The Red Devils lost 4-0 on aggregate to La Liga giants FC Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Solskjaer’s men also suffered a surprise defeat by Wolves in the FA Cup last eight.

The Norwegian head coach took over the reins from Jose Mourinho back in December last year.
