The Sun is reporting that the Red Devils want to keep hold of the 26-year-old midfielder and have made it clear to him that he will have to demand a transfer if he is to get his move this summer.
Pogba’s future has been a relentless source of speculation in recent months after another disappointing campaign for the Red Devils.
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League and without a trophy after missing out on qualification for next season’s Champions League.
According to the same story, Pogba has “made it clear” to Manchester United that he wants to join Real Madrid this summer.
However, the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward does not want to sell the France international, meaning that Pogba will have to ask for a transfer to make it happen, according to the same report.
The France international scored 13 goals and made nine assists in 35 Premier League games for the Red Devils this season as they ended up sixth in the table and without a trophy.
