The Daily Mirror is reporting that the north London side are set to hold talks with the Gabon international this summer as they look to get him to commit to a new deal at The Emirates.
The same article says that Aubameyang is likely to get a “huge” pay-rise if he commits to a new deal with the Gunners following a stellar season in which he scored 22 goals in all competitions.
Aubameyang is currently on wages of around £190,000 a week, according to the same story.
The article says that possible interest from Chinese clubs Guangzhou Evergrande and Shanghai SIPG has prompted Arsenal to step up negotiations to get Aubameyang’s future sorted.
The 29-year-old’s current deal at The Emirates is due to expire in two years’ time.
The same story also says that Arsenal are keen to tie Alexandre Lacazette down to a new contract – although the Frenchman’s situation is not believed to be as time-sensitive as his current deal expires in 2022.
Arsenal finished the Premier League season in fifth place in the table and without a trophy after they lost to Chelsea FC in the Europa League final.
