The Uruguay international’s future has been a source of debate since the conclusion of his first Premier League season.
Torreira is thought to be attracting interest from the Serie A giants after his former Sampdoria manager Marco Giampaolo was appointed as Gennaro Gattuso’s replacement.
Reports in Italy suggested that Torreira has struggled to settle in the English capital since his move from Sampdoria last summer, raising questions about his long-term future at Arsenal.
However, Torreira has addressed the transfer speculation in a bid to reassure Gunners supporters that he doesn’t plan to leave Arsenal before the start of the 2019-20 Premier League season.
“Nobody from AC Milan has got in touch with me,” Torreira is quoted as saying by talkSPORT.
“Today I’m in the Premier [League] and happy to be part of Arsenal.
“Adapting was not easy, but I only think about the team. I’m happy to be there.”
Torreira moved to Arsenal in a £26m deal from Sampdoria in the 2018 summer transfer window ahead of his participation in the World Cup in Russia last year.
The 23-year-old was a big hit with Arsenal supporters thanks to his tenacious performances in the middle of the park alongside Grant Xhaka and Mateo Guendouzi.
Arsenal haven’t signed any players in the summer so far despite Unai Emery being linked with a host of different names following his first season in charge.
The Gunners finished in fifth spot.
