The Wales international is set to officially move to Juventus on 1 July after Ramsey ran down his contract at the north London club.
Ramsey is set to leave a big void in the Arsenal midfielder that Unai Emery will need to fill following the Welshman’s energetic performances as a box-to-box midfielder.
The Gunners have a limited budget this summer, which means Emery will have to make some shrewd acquisitions in the transfer window if the Spanish head coach wants to improve his squad.
Former Arsenal defender Lauren offered one suggestion to replace the creativity lost in the middle of the park following Ramsey’s exit.
“Mario Gotze is also another very good player that has been linked with Arsenal and he could do a great job at replacing Ramsey in Arsenal’s midfield,” Laurent told bWIN.
Gotze scored seven times and made seven assists in 26 games in the Bundesliga last term as Borussia Dortmund finished as runners up to Bayern Munich.
The former Arsenal defender also suggested that Belgium international Yannick Carrasco could be another recruit who would add something to the Gunners team.
“Yannick Carrasco has been linked with the club; he is a very good player and is someone that that Emery and his staff will be considering,” Lauren added.
Arsenal lost 4-1 to bitter rivals Chelsea FC in the Europa League final in Baku last month to end their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next term.
