Arsenal remain interested in signing Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser but have conceded defeat in the race to land Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha, according to a report in England.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Gunners still view Scotland winger Fraser as an attainable target in the 2019 summer transfer window.

The same article states that Arsenal will find it difficult to complete a deal to sign Zaha due to their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Arsenal suffered a 4-1 loss to bitter rivals Chelsea FC in the Europa League final in Baku to end their hopes of booking their place in Europe’s premier competition next term.

According to the same story, the Gunners are eager to sign a new centre-half and box-to-box midfielder but potential signings will depend on whether Arsenal are able to sell Shkodran Mustafi.

The north London side finished in fifth place in the Premier League table after their poor end to the season saw the Gunners narrowly miss out on a Champions League spot.

Emery’s first season in charge of Arsenal ended without Champions League football or silverware after the Spanish head coach replaced Arsene Wenger last summer.

Arsenal finished 28 points adrift of Premier League champions Manchester City this season.
