Callum Hudson-Odoi is no closer to signing a new contract with Chelsea FC, according to Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol.

The 18-year-old’s current contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire next summer and Chelsea FC risk losing him on a free transfer if he does not sign a new deal before then.

Hudson-Odoi is currently sidelined with an Achilles injury and is on course to miss the start of the season after undergoing surgery earlier this year.

The England international attracted interest from Bayern Munich in the January transfer window but a deal was not done for the teenager.

Now, Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has revealed that Bayern have returned with a fresh bid for the youngster this summer, but the Blues have turned it down.

He claims that Chelsea FC are adamant that Hudson-Odoi is not for sale, despite him being no closer to signing a new deal with the west London club.

Writing on Twitter, Solhekol said: “Chelsea reject another bid from Bayern Munich for Callum Hudson-Odoi. £22.5m. Out of contract in 12 months but not for sale.

“No closer to signing long-term deal to stay at Chelsea. Both sides some distance from finding agreement.”

Hudson-Odoi struggled to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge in the first half of last season under Maurizio Sarri, but he was a more regular fixture in the second half of the campaign before suffering his Achilles injury.
