Chelsea FC are prepared to give Frank Lampard time to prove himself, according to reports
Chelsea FC will assure Frank Lampard that he will have at least one season to prove himself if he takes over at Stamford Bridge, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Blues are aware that it will be difficult for any manager tho takes over at Stamford Bridge because of the club’s two-window transfer ban.
Lampard has been hotly tipped to be one of the leading candidates to take over at Chelsea FC despite his relative inexperience in the dugout.
The former Chelsea FC midfielder completed his first season as a manager last term as he led Derby County to the Championship play-off final.
According to the same story, Lampard has been told that he will be given time to prove himself if he signs a three-year deal with the Stamford Bridge outfit.
Chelsea FC are on the lookout for a new manager after the Blues parted company with Maurizio Sarri at the start of the month.
Sarri left the west London club to take over at Juventus and after having guided Chelsea FC to a third-placed finish in the Premier League and the Europa League trophy.
