The Blues parted company with Sarri officially on Sunday after weeks of speculation about the Italian’s future at the west London club.
Sarri has left Stamford Bridge to take over at Juventus after leading Chelsea FC to a third-placed finish in the Premier League and the Europa League title.
Chelsea FC will now begin their search for a new manager as they look to build for the future and aim to challenge for the Premier League title.
Former Blues midfielder Lampard has been widely tipped to be one of the main contenders to take over at Chelsea FC this summer as the west London side look for Sarri’s successor.
And former Spurs manager Redknapp feels that Lampard would be a great choice for the west London club.
Redknapp told The Sun, as quoted by Metro: “He will have real authority. He won’t stand any nonsense.
“Eden Hazard has left and he is a fantastic player.
“No disrespect to any of the rest of them who are left, but none of them can look at Frank and think ‘I’m a bigger, better player’.
“He’s been a better player for Chelsea than any of them have been. That’s not a bad starting point for him. There won’t be anyone there he can’t handle.”
Chelsea FC are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer, but it remains to be seen whether they will be successful in having their Fifa transfer ban overturned or not.
