The Belgium international completed a big-money switch to Real Madrid following months of speculation linking Hazard with a move to the Spanish capital.
Hazard won two Premier League titles, two Europa League crowns, the FA Cup and the League Cup during a decorated seven-season spell at the west London side.
The 28-year-old finally secured a move to Real Madrid earlier this month as the Blues decided to cash in on their number 10 rather than lose the winger for nothing next summer.
And Hazard unveiled the role that former Chelsea FC goalkeeper Courtois played in his switch to the 13-time European champions.
“I had quite a few chats with Thibaut,” Hazard said at his unveiling at Real Madrid.
“He said I should jump at the opportunity, it is the best club in the world.”
Chelsea FC finished in third place in the Premier League last term to secure a return to the Champions League in Hazard’s final season at the Stamford Bridge outfit.
Hazard scored twice in Chelsea FC’s 4-1 victory over their bitter rivals Arsenal in the Europa League final in Baku to end his Blues career with silverware.
The Belgian forward opted to move to Chelsea FC ahead of interest from Manchester City and Manchester United in the 2012 summer transfer window from Ligue 1 side Lille.
