Loris Karius took to Twitter to congratulate his Liverpool FC team-mates on their Champions League triumph on Saturday night.

Liverpool FC got their hands on the Champions League trophy for a sixth times thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi in Madrid.

The result was made all the more sweeter after Liverpool FC suffered a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League showpiece in Kiev last term.

Jurgen Klopp’s men acquitted themselves well against the Spanish giants but Karius made two crucial mistakes to hand Real Madrid a 13th Champions League title.

The German goalkeeper paid the price for his errors as Klopp shipped out the error-prone shot-stopper to Turkish club Besiktas on loan for two seasons.

Alisson Becker was signed in a £67m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma and the Brazil international made eight saves in the Champions League final on Saturday night.

Karius took to Twitter to dedicate a message to Liverpool FC following their 2-0 victory over Tottenham.

Karius wrote on Twitter: “Congrats, @LFC. Really happy for everyone at the club and fans. You deserved this.”

Liverpool FC finished in second place in the Premier League table last term despite amassing a club record 97 points in the title race.

Manchester City finished a point ahead of Liverpool FC to deny the Reds a first Premier League title.
