The Reds are potentially looking for a number of new signings this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to make a few tweaks to his squad ahead of next season.
Liverpool FC finished in second place in the Premier League table and just a point behind champions Manchester City.
However, they did win their first major trophy under Klopp when they beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the Champions League final at the start of this month.
Eriksen, 27, has been linked with a move away from Tottenham after he admitted that he may be time for him to pursue a new challenge.
And O’Hara believes that Liverpool FC could well be interested in landing the Denmark international this summer.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports News, O’Hara said: “[Liverpool] need a central midfield player.
“I’ve got a sneaky suspicion that they might try and take Eriksen from Tottenham as he’s in the last year on his deal.
“He’s the type of player they need.”
Eriksen scored eight goals and made 12 assists in 35 Premier League games for Mauricio Pochettino’s men last season.
He also scored twice and made four assists in the Champions League to help the Lilywhites to reach their first ever Champions League final.
Spurs are still looking to win their first major trophy under Pochettino.
