Naby Keita: The Liverpool FC star who’s always giving me advice
Naby Keita opens up about Mohamed Salah's influence on him at Liverpool FC last season
Naby Keita has revealed that Mohamed Salah has made an effort to help him settle in to life at Liverpool FC.
Keita joined up with the Reds last summer following a transfer deal with RB Leipzig, and the Guinea international scored two goals and made one assist in 25 Premier League games for the Reds.
The 24-year-old midfielder also scored once in the Champions League as he played his part in helping Jurgen Klopp’s men to win the trophy after having beaten Tottenham 2-0 in the final at the start of June.
Keita is currently in Salah’s homeland of Egypt on international duty with Guinea for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
And the midfielder has now revealed the influence that Salah has had on him since his move to Merseyside last summer.
Asked about the influence of the two-time African Footballer of the Year, Keita is quoted as saying by Liverpool FC’s website: “Very well, he always gives me some advice on the pitch in Liverpool.
“He’s a nice guy who works hard. When he works at the gym, he always asks me to join him.
“He looks after me like I’m his little brother.”
Salah was in fine form for Liverpool FC once again last season, scoring 22 goals and making eight assists in 38 Premier League games as Klopp’s men finished second in the table.
The Reds will be hoping to go one step further and beat Manchester City to the Premier League title next term.
