Linda Pizzuti Henry, the wife of Liverpool FC owner John W Henry, took to social media to express her pride at seeing the Reds win the Champions League on Saturday.

Liverpool FC claimed a 2-0 victory over Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur to secure the trophy for a sixth time and win their first piece of silverware under Jurgen Klopp.

Mohamed Salah netted a penalty inside the second minute in Madrid, and substitute Divock Origi made it 2-0 with a neat finish in the 87th minute.

Linda Henry was clearly delighted to see Klopp’s side lift the trophy and she took to Twitter after the final whistle to express her pride at the result.

She posted on Twitter: “Champions of Europe!!!!! #SixTimes Congratulations, @LFC. So, so proud.”

Liverpool FC will now set their sights on challenging Manchester City for the Premier League title next season after they finished just a point behind the Citizens in the table this term.

The Merseyside outfit have been earning plenty of praise for their strong performances and the Reds will now be hoping to win multiple trophies under Klopp.

The Reds will take on Chelsea FC in the Uefa Super Cup in Istanbul on Wednesday 14 August.
