Portuguese media outlet Correio de Manha, as quoted by The Daily Mail, is reporting that the Sporting Lisbon star is being pursued by Liverpool FC, Manchester United and Tottenham.
The same article states that Tottenham have made a concrete bid for the Portugal international in the summer transfer window.
According to the same story, Liverpool FC could have a slight advantage over their rivals because Fernandes is an admirer of Jurgen Klopp’s style of play at the Anfield outfit.
The same report goes on to say that the Champions League winners are also leading Manchester United in the race for Fernandes’ signature thanks to the ‘Klopp factor’.
Fernandes scored 20 times and made 13 assists in 33 top-flight appearances in Portugal last term – and the attacking midfielder also netted three goals in the Europa League.
Liverpool FC are bound to be linked with some top names in the summer transfer window after the Reds won the Champions League in Madrid earlier this month.
The Merseyside outfit were 2-0 winners against Tottenham thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi either side of half-time.
Liverpool FC finished in second place in the Premier League and a point behind champions Manchester City.
