Man United ready to offer new contract to key 28-year-old star – report
Man United are preparing a new offer to try and convince David De Gea to sign a new contract, say reports

Manchester United are preparing to offer a new contract to David De Gea as they look to end the uncertainty over his future, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that De Gea is now “primed” for a new deal at Old Trafford as the Red Devils look to resolve the deadlock surrounding his future.
The Spanish goalkeeper is about to enter into the final 12 months of his contract at Old Trafford and that has prompted speculation about his future at the club.
According to the same story, Manchester United have no plans to let De Gea leave this summer, despite the threat of losing him on a free transfer at the end of next season if he does not sign a new contract.
The same article says that negotiations between the club and player have been ongoing for more than 18 months – but now Manchester United are prepared to offer a new contract deal to try and convince the Spain international to sign.
According to the same article, De Gea currently earns around £240,000 a week at Old Trafford and he has been seeking a deal closer to the £500,000 a week that Alexis Sanchez is said to earn.
However, it is not clear exactly how much Manchester United are willing to pay De Gea.
