Manchester United are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sets about bolstering his squad ahead of next season.
Both Leicester City defender Maguire and Crystal Palace full-back Bissaka have been touted as potential targets for the Red Devils as they set about bolstering their squad.
However, although BBC reporter Stone says that Manchester United do appear to be interested in the pair, he underlined the fact that that doesn’t mean that any deals are close.
Writing on Twitter on Monday night, Stone said: “It does seem Man Utd are interested in Maguire and Wan-Bissaka but that doesn’t mean deals imminent or even likely.
“Most Premier League clubs have financial power now and another three weeks before pre-season training starts.”
Maguire, 26, was a regular fixture in the Leicester City team last season, scoring three goals in 31 Premier League games for the Foxes.
Meanwhile, Bissaka, 21, made three assists in 35 Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace.
Manchester United do not have the lure of Champions League football for next season after they finished in sixth place in the table and without a trophy last term.
The Red Devils have not lifted the Premier League trophy since their famous final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
