Manchester United will have to bid £60m to sign Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the summer transfer window, according to a report in England.

Sky Sports is reporting that the Eagles turned down Manchester United’s initial £40m bid to sign the 21-year-old in the summer transfer window.

The same article states that the Red Devils are eyeing Wan-Bissaka as a long-term replacement for Antonio Valencia in the right-back position.

According to the same story, Palace have informed Manchester United that the England international will cost £60m this summer, given that the Eagles are under no pressure to sell.

Sky Sports go on to add that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could look at potential alternatives such as Paris Saint-Germain’s Belgian star Thomas Meunier and Tottenham full-back Kieran Trippier.

Manchester United are bound to be linked with a host of players in the summer transfer window as Solskjaer looks to stamp his authority on the Red Devils squad.

The 20-time English champions finished in sixth place in the Premier League last term after a disappointing finish to the season.

Manchester United conceded more goals than Leicester City, Wolves and Everton in the English top flight last term to highlight their problems at the back.

The Red Devils haven’t won a major trophy since the 2016-17 season.
