Manchester United will make a decision whether to sign a new centre-half in the coming days, according to a report in England.

The Manchester Evening News is reporting that the Red Devils are undecided whether a new centre-half should be a priority in the 2019 summer transfer window.

The same article states that the 20-time English champions have made a number of enquiries but Manchester United haven’t decided whether to push ahead with any deals.

According to the same story, the Red Devils are planning to focus their efforts on signing a midfielder once Aaron Wan-Bissaka completes his move to Old Trafford.

The Manchester Evening News add that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have Phil Jones, Smalling, Victor Lindelof and Marcos Rojo all available for pre-season training.

Question marks remain over Solskjaer’s current options at centre-half after Manchester United conceded 54 times in 38 games in the Premier League last season.

The Red Devils signed Wales international Daniel James in a £15m deal from Championship side Swansea City earlier this month to bolster their midfield ranks.

Manchester United finished in sixth spot in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a place in the Champions League next term.

The Red Devils failed to win a major trophy last term after exiting the Champions League and the FA Cup at the quarter-final stage.
