Manchester United are set to rekindle their interest in Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho if Paul Pogba leaves Old Trafford this summer, according to a report.

Forbes, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Manchester United could revive their efforts to sign former Manchester City winger Sancho in the summer transfer window.

The same article states that Paul Pogba could leave the 20-time English champions before the start of the new Premier League season.

According to the same story, Pogba’s departure would leave Manchester United without any world class players in outfield positions.

Forbes go on to say that Manchester United believe Sancho would be able to replace Pogba in a commercial sense thanks to his rising status as one of England’s most exciting talents.

The report adds that the Red Devils would be able to afford Dortmund’s asking price if Manchester United do sell Romelu Lukaku and Pogba this summer.

Sancho scored 12 goals and made 14 assists in 34 games in the Bundesliga last season as Borussia Dortmund finished in second place behind Bayern Munich.

The England star has established himself as one of Europe’s most promising players since his £7m move to Dortmund from Manchester City in the 2017 summer transfer window.

Manchester United have only signed Swansea star Daniel James in the summer transfer window so far.
